Hi Everyone!

Just a quick post today…HOT OFF THE PRESS…the Spring 2009 edition of Art Doll Quarterly magazine from Stampington & Co. is now available at your nearest major bookstore, online at www.stampington.com, or here at our studio.  The issue features my Mother’s figurine techniques in easy to follow, step by step instructions.  Even though the photo shoot was done very quickly, while we were in California last year, the article came out very nicely.  No surprise, since it was produced by the amazing publication team at Stampington & Company!  Thank you to Jenny Doh and Staci Dumoski for working with us again.  All of Stampington’s many publications are an inspiration to me.  I look forward to each new magazine issue, and I literally flip thru the pages for hours and hours.  What is my favorite magazine of theirs?  It’s hard to pick just one, since they are all my favorites!

We have so many talented people who come to our classes, and Cherry Cruz is one of them.  She stopped by recently to share some of her work; which I really appreciate.  After taking my Mother’s figurine (doll) class, she went home and went beyond expectations and made several different dolls, which she incorporated her own clothing designs.  Cherry is an accomplished dress designer for many years, and her talent in that arena shows with her attention to detail.  Amazing!  Thank you, Cherry for sharing your beautiful work with us. 🙂

The studio is getting ready for Spring!  The season’s flowers are so pretty and the array of colors is so much fun to create…can’t believe it’s just around the corner!
