Do you have pieces for sale?

I would like to order pieces for my wedding. How far in advance should I place my order?
In most cases, we ask that you place your order at least 2 months in advance. We also require a 50% non-refundable deposit at the time of your order. Please call to make an appointment with us for your wedding needs. Near or far, we are able to fulfill your dream flowers!

I don’t live in Hawaii and won’t be able to meet with you. Can I still order pieces for my wedding?
Yes. If you do not live on the island of Oahu, we’ll correspond with you via email and telephone. We live in a great time of electronic communications that allows us to communicate very effectively with photos and images in order to satisfy even the most demanding requests. Is your craft hard to learn?
It’s not hard at all. As with everything else, practice makes perfect! The more you work with the clay the better you will become at creating something amazing. Over the course of the last 30 years we have tailored our courses to make it possible for everyone to create their own beautiful creations from the very first class. We welcome you to try your hand at it, we know you will be surprised.
What does “Member C1 & C2” on your class schedule mean?
“Member C1 & C2” refers to Curriculum 1 & 2. These are classes that are taught in our studio and are membership classes. Attendance is by appointment only. For more information about classes please contact us.
How long can I take to finish a curriculum?
There is no time limit to finishing a curriculum. If you only have time for a class once in a while or if you have time for every class offered during the week, you can set your own pace. For more information about private classes please contact us.
What are the benefits of becoming a member?
As a member you will have the opportunity to learn to create every flower in our studio. You will also receive special discounts on your clay, tools and supplies, as well as receiving advanced invitations to workshops and being able to participate in special events. If I become a member, do I need to follow the curriculum?
Yes, it is important to follow the curriculum system in order to learn the techniques needed to move on to the next project. We want you to get a comprehensive understanding of clay crafting. and this is why we have developed this curriculum based learning system. For more information about classes please contact us.
I would love to learn your craft but I’m not sure if I can do it. Do you have a trial class that I can attend?
Yes. In the "Discovery" trial class you will learn one of our curriculum projects. Class will be $40.00 per person for a 2 hour session. This fee includes all the materials necessary to complete this project. For more information about classes please contact us.
What if I just want to learn certain flowers, will you teach me?
We do give private classes. Private classes require a 3 person minimum at a cost of $50.00 per person for a 2 hour session. In your private session you can learn up to 3 different flowers per class. Please note that in our private sessions we do not teach every flower. For more information about private classes please contact us.
Other locations are out of clay. Can I purchase them directly from you?
Is your clay hard to work with?
CLAYCRAFT by DECO Clay is a unique polymer clay that air dries. It is strong and durable yet exceptionally light. Our clay is pliable and soft to the touch, almost silk like. It’s very easy to work with. This and other DECO products can be found HERE.
What are the sizes of your clay?
Our package of white clay is 137 grams ( 4.8 ounces) and our packages of colored clay are 55 grams ( 1.9 ounces). This and other DECO products can be found HERE.
How many flowers can I make with 1 package of clay?
Typically with one package of white clay you can make about 12-15 medium sized roses. This and other DECO products can be found HERE.
I don’t live in the USA. Do you do correspondence courses?
Unfortunately, we do not offer thess types of lessons. Our craft is a hands-on craft. It is not possible to teach via correspondence. For a complete list of DECO instructor locations, please visit this LINK.
Do you have a DVD?
There is now a 4 lesson DVD available to get started on basic techniques on florals and figurine. For more details and ordering please visit this LINK.
Are all the books written in Japanese?
No. There are two books available by Yukiko Miyai which are printed in English. All other books are printed in Japanese. For more details and ordering click HERE.
Is ClayCraft by DECO soft clay safe to use as cake decorations?

How do I become a member?
To enroll in the DECO Clay Craft Academy, please contact us directly or look for a certified DECO instructor in your area. We have many offerings in our membership curriculum system. Please contact us to discuss the best style to suit your needs.
Training is offered for those who wish to apply to become a Certified Instructor of the DECO Clay Craft Academy.
