This year’s kits were so much fun to create! I focused on themes of “Chic & Cute” using Amaryllis Lilies and Daisies for the Christmas arrangements and Japanese Traditional using Camellia flower for the New Year’s project. The reindeer turned out to be a perfect fit in the Chic Christmas arrangement when I painted the antlers with the Neo Color paints. The colors gave it a nice elegant shine. I also thought the birch log vase nicely complimented the Christmas arrangements too…it’s a really substantial vase made of a whole piece of milled Birch log.
The “cute” comes in here with the Reindeer in a more animated style.
Since I was shopping for seasonal items, I couldn’t resist these 2 containers!
For the more tropical feel, this Christmas arrangement using this opulent silver glazed container or this whimsical piece for New Years with this shinny patterned finish vase-both accented with holiday flora.
For the New Year’s arrangement, I decided to incorporate things that are traditional to Japan. The Camellia flower, for instance, is a very common flower during New Year’s in Japan as it represents good luck. Inside the kits are select Japanese “Washi” papers for the kimono look… since this years Zodiac animal is …the RABBIT! FYI: The rabbit represents creativity, sensitivity and compassion. Do you know any Rabbits?
I hope you enjoy this years Christmas and New Year’s kits as much as I enjoyed creating them for you.
Kits will are available now… Please see the kits page HERE … Happy crafting!!
