I have been a certified DECO instructor since 2001. I took a 5-year break and returned to teaching in 2015. I’m very excited to share my love of the DECO Clay Craft Academy to all who are interested to learn. While I have moved around quite a bit, I am currently teaching out of my home-based studio in Jacksonville, Florida. I was featured in 2008 on the Martha Stewart Show which really helped to boost the awareness in the United States of this amazing art and clay. I feel very privileged to be able to teach the curriculums and help those who wish to become certified instructors. What I love most about this art form and the Academy is that the learning process never ends. It truly is “skies the limit” as to what you can create out of CLAYCRAFT by DECO products! So many possibilities.
What Curriculums do you teach?
I teach Flower Course I, II, and III and am currently studying IV. I also teach Tropical Flower Course I and will be offering Tropical Flower Course II in the Fall of 2018. If flowers aren’t your thing, I also teach Personal Style Gift Course I and II.
Do you create finished pieces to sell?
Yes, I enjoy creating custom pieces for my clients, whether it’s home décor or flowers for weddings. You can see some of my work for sale on my website (www.dkdesignshawaii.com) or via my Etsy site (www.dkdesignshawaii.etsy.com).
I also am an official distributor of CLAYCRAFT by DECO clays and tools.
