Q: Where are you located? <MAP HERE>
A: We are located at 764 Kapahulu Ave. Suite 200, Honolulu, Hawaii 96816. Our studio is on the corner of Kapahulu Ave. and Palani St. directly above Pizza Hut.
   
     
   
     
Q: Do you have parking?
A: Yes. Parking entrance is located on Palani Street in the back of the building and we are able to take care of the fee for this. There is also metered parking on the street.
   
     
   
     
Q: What are your studio hours?
A: We’re open Monday thru Friday 9am-5pm. We are also open on Saturdays from 9am-2pm. We are closed on Sundays. We are also closed on the following holidays: New Year’s Eve, Good Friday, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Eve and Day. Please check our CLASS SCHEDULE for days other than those that are listed.
   
     
   
     
Q: Can I visit your studio?
A: Yes. Although we do have regular business hours we always suggest that you call before stopping by to make sure someone will be in to help you but please feel free to stop by. Our telephone number is (808)735-7800.
   
     
   
     
Q: Do you have pieces for sale in your showroom?
A: Yes. Most of our products are made to order but we do have many pieces for sale in our showroom.
   
     
   
     

Q: I would like to order pieces for my wedding. How far in advance should I place my order?
A: In most cases, we ask that you place your order at least 2 months in advance. We also require a 50% non-refundable deposit at the time of your order. Please call to make an appointment with us for your wedding needs.

   
     
   
     

Q: I don’t live in Hawaii and won’t be able to meet with you. Can I still order pieces for my wedding?
A: Yes. If you do not live on the island of Oahu, we’ll correspond with you via EMAIL and telephone calls.

   
     
   
     
Q: Is your craft hard to learn?
A: It’s not hard at all. As with everything else, practice makes perfect! The more you work with the clay the better you will become at creating something amazing.
   
     
   
     
Q: How do I become a member?
A: Our membership consists of 2 curriculums each containing 10 projects. Once you finish both curriculums you may then apply to become a Certified Instructor of the DECO Clay Craft Academy.
   
     
   
     
Q: What does “Member C1 & 2” on your class schedule mean?
A: “Member C1 & 2” refers to Curriculum 1 & 2. These are classes that are taught in our studio and are membership classes. Attendance is by appointment only.
   
     
   
     
Q: How long can I take to finish a curriculum?
A: There is no time limit to finishing a curriculum. If you only have time for a class once in a while or if you have time for every class offered during the week, you can set your own pace.
   
     
   
     
Q: What are the benefits of becoming a member?
A: As a member you will be able to learn to create every flower in our studio. You will also receive special discounts on your clay, tools and supplies. You will receive advanced invitations to workshops as well as being able to participate in special events.
   
     
   
     
Q: If I become a member, do I need to follow the curriculum?
A: Yes. You must follow our curriculum. We want you to get a comprehensive understanding of clay crafting. This is why we have developed this curriculum based learning system.
   
     
   
     
Q: I would love to learn your craft but I’m not sure if I can do it. Do you have a trial class that I can attend?
A: Yes. In the "Discovery" trial class you will learn one of our curriculum projects. Class will be $40.00 per person for a 2 hour session. This fee includes all the materials necessary to complete this project.
   
     
   
     
Q: Before I do a trial class can I just learn to make 1 flower?
A: Yes. In Hawaii we do demonstrations at the Waikiki Marriott, Shirokiya at Ala Moana, The Hobby Company in Pearlridge and also at Craft Supply of Honolulu and Pearlhighlands. At these demonstrations you can learn to make a Rose, hibiscus or Gardenia. Please check our CLASS SCHEDULE for dates and times.
   
     
   
     
Q: What if I just want to learn certain flowers, will you teach me?
A: We do give private classes. Private classes require a 3 person minimum at a cost of $35.00 per person for a 2 hour session. In your private session you can learn up to 3 different flowers. Please note that in our private sessions we do not teach every flower. For more information about private classes please contact us.
   
     
   
     
Q: Other locations are out of clay. Can I purchase them directly from you?
A: Yes. Just stop by if you are near or send us an EMAIL and you can expect a response in 1-48 hours. ORDER CLAY and SUPPLIES
   
     
   
     
Q: Is your clay hard to work with?
A: Deco Clay is a unique polymer clay that air dries. It is strong and durable yet exceptionally light. Our clay is pliable and soft to the touch, almost silk like. It’s very easy to work with.
   
     
   
     
Q: What are the sizes of your clay?
A: Our package of white clay is 137 grams ( 4.8 ounces) and our packages of colored clay are 55 grams ( 1.9 ounces).
   
     
   
     
Q: How many flowers can I make with 1 package of clay?
A: Typically with one package of white clay you can make about 12-15 medium sized roses.
   
     
   
     
Q: I don’t live in the States. Do you do correspondence courses?
A: Unfortunately we do not. Our craft is a hands-on craft. It is not possible to teach via correspondence.
   
     
   
     
Q: Do you have a DVD?
A: At this time we do not have any DVD available. We are looking into that area, but at this time we have not set a deadline.
   
     
   
     
Q: Are all the books written in Japanese?
